Moon.com review
We opened an account in September 2026, cleared KYC, paid fees, watched a rakeback credit land. Then we read the terms twice, because they are more honest than most operators bother to be. This is what the whole thing costs, what it is, and who should stay away from it.
Summary
Moon.com is a leveraged wagering product with terms that admit what it is out loud. Moon is the counterparty to every bet you place. There is a house edge baked into the price you see, on top of the fees. The products are gaming products, not investing, not trading. Moon writes all of that down where you can read it, which is genuinely rare.
Four costs. Three of them have a number and one, the holding fee, does not. Leverage runs to 1000x, at which point Moon’s own worked example has Bitcoin moving 0.1% against you and the bet is gone. KYC before you deposit, approval before you withdraw, and deposits are crypto. No bank transfers, no cards, no exceptions.
No score out of ten. One number would just hide the only thing worth saying: this is a competent, unusually candid casino product wearing a trading interface. If you want charts and 1000x and you know you are betting against the house, it does that well. If you think you are trading, the terms disagree with you in writing.

The product
Moon.com is a market-price wagering platform where users bet Up or Down on referenced asset prices. It is not MoonPay, it is not Pay with Moon, and it is not an exchange where users own the underlying asset.
Markets across crypto, equities, futures, commodities and forex, available around the clock including extended hours. Prices reference DXFeed, Pyth Network and SEDA Protocol, and Moon states it does not create or manipulate them. Bets are Up or Down, with a chosen wager and leverage up to 1000x, a max-loss price drawn on the chart, and optional automatic profit and loss closes.

Costs
| Fee or cost | Basis | Timing | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening fee | 1% of the wager amount | When the bet is opened | Charged on the wager, not on leveraged exposure. Moon’s own example: a 1,000 wager at 10x controls 10,000 of exposure and pays a 10 opening fee. |
| Holding fee | Dynamic, not a fixed published percentage | Assessed every 8 hours while the bet stays open | Moon says the rate varies with market conditions, volatility, liquidity and funding costs. The terms describe holding fees as periodic and amendable. |
| Performance fee | Charged on realised profit | When a bet is closed at a profit | Moon documents a minimum of 10% of realised profits and states that no performance fee is charged on losing bets. Deducted before settlement. |
| House edge | Spread or pricing edge built into Moon’s quoted price | Present throughout the bet | Moon’s terms state the House Edge is separate from, and in addition to, the fee schedule. |
| Withdrawal and other charges | Set out in Moon’s published fee schedule | On the relevant transaction | The terms reference betting fees, holding fees, withdrawal fees and other charges, amendable prospectively on notice. Fees are stated to be non-refundable except where law or the schedule says otherwise. |
Two things worth flagging. The opening fee is on your wager, not the leveraged exposure, which makes it much smaller than a naive read of a 10x position suggests. Then the holding fee, which is the one honest gap in the schedule: Moon calls it dynamic and prints no rate, so the cost of leaving a bet open across days is not knowable in advance from anything Moon has published.
Sitting against those costs is rakeback. Moon hands back 3.5% of the fees you pay if rakeback is switched on, whether the bets win or lose. It is a rebate on fees, and it does not touch the house edge, which is a different thing living in a different place.
Longer: the fee schedule andwhat 3.5% applies to.

What Moon says about itself
Moon’s terms, last dated 15 July 2026, call the products entertainment and gaming products offered for recreational use. Not investment. Not trading. Not brokerage. Not advisory. Bets are not securities. Moon.com is the House, the principal counterparty to every bet, with a direct financial interest in the outcome of every bet, and the house edge is separate from and on top of the fee schedule.
Putting that in writing where anyone can find it is genuinely to Moon’s credit, and it is also the most important sentence in this review. A product whose operator profits when you lose is a different animal from a brokerage, whatever the chart looks like.
What one account still cannot tell you
First-hand account test
Account testedAn account was opened through the MAXBONUS link from a permitted jurisdiction, identity verification was completed, and rakeback was already active without contacting Support. That is one account, one point in time, one jurisdiction. It does not tell you what verification will do on yours, what withdrawal will feel like at scale, or how Support handles an edge case.

Rakeback credit observed
Account testedOne credit arrived. One is not a pattern, so we are not printing a frequency, a minimum, a ceiling or a payout timing off a sample of one.

Holding fee rate
Operator documentedMoon documents the fee and its 8-hour clock but not a rate. Nobody quoting you an average has a source. This review will not invent one.

Who this is for, and who it is not
Fits: you want short-dated Up-or-Down wagers on market prices, you know the operator is the other side of the bet, you have read the fee schedule with both eyes open, you can hold a crypto balance without turning it into a project, and you are treating the money as entertainment spending rather than an income plan.
Does not fit: you are looking for an investment or trading account, you need bank deposits, you cannot or would rather not complete KYC, you live somewhere on Moon’s prohibited list, or you can see yourself opening a 1000x position and hoping.
If the second list feels closer to home, start atresponsible play instead.
